Key Valves

Key valves are a handy way to turn the gas supply to your gas logs on or off without reaching inside the firebox. Most homes will allow for the installation in either the wall near the fireplace or the floor close by. Key valve location is usually decided upon during the bid, when the installer will take the time to make sure that it can go where you want it to go. Local codes require that some form of shut-off valve be located within four feet of the gas supply and in the same room so there could be some limitations to the placement.
